    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Operates survey instruments/equipment required to perform surveys on job sites as directed by the Crew Chief
    • Coordinate field work for a variety of standard types of surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief
    • Operate state of the art survey equipment while maintaing a safe work environment
    • Interpret control point records and data sheets, as well as locate points in the field
    • Must have a basic knowledge of the terminology and principles of conventional drafting
    • Responsible for ensuring the truck is loaded and all supplies necessary for completion of the day’s work are fully stocked
    • Other duties as assigned

    Required Experience - Education and Skills

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • 2 plus years’ experience in a similar survey position is preferred. Civil Survey experience is a plus. 
    • Computer and technical skills
    • Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software packages are preferred.
    • Strong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal)
    • Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude
    • Ability to work in all-weather climates
    • Ability to walk 5 miles a day and/or stand for up to 12 hours a day
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
    • Possession of a valid, current driver’s license
    • Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check
    • Ability to travel is preferred
