The IT team supports SAM in the advice, supply and support of its IT needs. The IT support intern will have the responsibility of assisting IT staff on various hardware or software related projects and issues. This position will also provide direct support to company employees. The IT intern will gain valuable real world IT operational and management experience in a fast paced, ever evolving company. This will be a 6-month internship assignment.


Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist with imaging and deployment of computer equipment (laptops, desktops, tablets, cell phones, etc.)
  • Assist in the inventory and removal of legacy systems
  • Audit copier equipment and employee access
  • Assist in creating documentation related to IT projects, processes, procedures and architecture.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as requested related to area of responsibility

Required Experience - Education and Skills

  • Currently pursuing an IT or Business related certificate or degree
  • Very strong work ethic (You bring the work ethic and we’ll teach you the skills!)
  • Strong desire to learn and grow
  • Excellent communication, customer service and team skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows 7 & 10 operating system, PC hardware repair, Microsoft Office 2010 Suite, Apple iPhone setup and applications and/or Active Directory Management a plus
  • Duties performed in usual office conditions with standard office equipment
  • Use of computer terminal requiring frequent mental and visual attention
  • Ability to consistently work 10 -20 hours per week (Office hours 7:30 – 5:30 pm M-F)
  • Nights and weekend work required at times in order to support the business
  • Must be able to lift\carry ~50lbs
