As a Geospatial Senior Project Manager, you will direct a team of geospatial managers and technicians working on multiple projects simultaneously within the Transportation, Electric Energy and Oil & Gas markets. Business development and sales skills are essential to the team’s success, and as a Senior Project Manager you will be primarily responsible for acquiring new business, while maintaining existing client relationships. Your duties will include estimating, proposal preparation, planning, directing and coordinating geospatial operations, including project managers, flight crews (manned and unmanned) and geospatial technicians using aerial, terrestrial, mobile mapping methods for LiDAR and Photogrammetry project plans.  

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain positive internal and external client relationships
  • Serves as Company representative at meetings and presentations
  • Lead Business Development for Geospatial Projects, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders.
  • Establish work plan and staffing requirements for multiple projects
  • Writes proposals, monitoring budgets and maintaining schedules
  • Plan and implement QA/QC procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency
  • Review performance data (financial, budgets, sales and activity reports) to monitor and measure productivity, goal progress and activity levels
  • Monitor and develop professional staff to maximize their potential
  • Establish plans and strategies to expand the customer base in the market area
  • Effectively interface with sub-consultants and SAM business units to support survey projects.
  • Support corporate strategic initiatives.

Required Experience - Education and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in survey, engineering, GIS or a related science field (or equivalent experience)
  • 8-10 years of experience in LiDAR, photogrammetry, digital mapping, or remote sensing
  • UAV/UAS project experience using LiDAR and photogrammetry a plus.
  • 4 years of experience in project management, client maintenance, and project development.
  • Certified Photogrammetrist or GIS Professional is desired, but not required.
  • The ability to market related services and to present our services is critical to the success of the individual in this position.
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work within a team environment.
