We are currently searching for experienced Instrument Operators to join our Land Surveying group. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Professional interaction with client representative and land owners.
  • Operates survey instruments/equipment required to perform surveys on job sites as directed by the Crew Chief
  • Coordinate field work for a variety of standard types of surveys under the supervision of a Crew Chief
  • Responsible for ensuring the truck is loaded and all supplies necessary for completion of the day’s work are fully stocked
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience - Education and Skills

  • Oil & Gas pipeline experience is preferred, specifically with OQ tasks such as line/utility locating
  • Preference given to experience performing Above Ground Marker (AGM) placement, tracking inspection tools (Pigs), and Depth of Cover (DOC) Surveys
  • Experience with Trimble equipment, to include, Trimble Total Stations, Trimble R10 GNSS GPS Receivers and Trimble data collectors preferred, but not required
  • Strong communication skills (listening, writing and verbal)
  • Proven work history, strong work ethic, and team-player attitude
  • Ability to walk 5 miles a day and/or stand for up to 12 hours a day
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds of equipment
  • Ability to travel for extended periods (approximately 60%)
  • Ability to work in all-weather climates
  • Valid driver's license, clean background check and drug screening
